Die Performance »Rebus in Frankfurt« ist eine Fortsetzung der Reihe von Kunstwerken mit dem Titel »Rebus« (Zusammenfügen von zwei Themen, die nichts miteinander zu tun haben). Dies ist ein Versuch, ein wichtiges Element wie: Die Verwandlung des menschlichen Wesens in eine Materie außerhalb der Realität.

Eine Person, die in einem Metallkostüm auf der Terrasse eines Gebäudes Fahrrad fährt, ist eine Videokunst der Künstlerin Inda Sela. Diese Arbeit inspirierte später die Performance einer in Pelz gekleideten Person, die durch die Gänge der Kunstmesse in Stockholm radelte. Dies ist eine Zusammenarbeit der Künstlerinnen Inda Sela, Resina Meçani und Kristanja Cene.

Dieses Mal bringt Resina Meçani »Rebus« zu einem Besuch nach Frankfurt. Sie bringt die Widersprüche und Absurditäten, die sie umgeben, in eine Performance ein.

Wir alle sind Teil dieses »Rebus«, wir leben zwischen Gegensätzen und sind jeden Tag mit Absurditäten konfrontiert. Unser Umgang mit ihnen macht uns zu dem, was wir sind. (RM)

Die Performance findet im Rahmen des Saisonstarts Frankfurter Galerien statt. Wir freuen uns auf Ihre Teilnahme am 8. und 10. September in der Fahrgasse und Umgebung.

Mit Resina Meçanis Besuch in Frankfurt startet das Kooperationsprojekt 2023/24 zwischen der Gallery70 und der artist-run Initiative Tirana Ekspres in Albanien mit EULENGASSE. Die geplanten Veranstaltungen und Ausstellungen werden sowohl in Frankfurt als auch in Tirana stattfinden.

The performance »Rebus in Frankfurt« is a continuation of the series of artworks titled »Rebus« (putting together two subjects that have nothing in common). This is an attempt to bring an important element such as: The transformation of the human being into a matter outside of reality.
A person riding a bicycle, in a metal costume, on the terrace of a building is a video art by artist Inda Sela. This work later inspired the performance in Stockholm, Sweden, of a person cycling through the aisles of the art fair dressed in fur. This is a collaboration of artists Inda Sela, Resina Meçani and Kristanja Cene.

This time Resina Meçani brings »Rebus« to Frankfurt for a visit. She brings the contradictions and absurdities that surround her into a performance.

We are all part of this »Rebus«, we live between contrasts and face absurdities every day. Our approach to them makes us who we are. (RM)

The performance takes place within the framework of the season opener of the Frankfurt galleries. We are looking forward to your participation on the 8th and 10th of September.

With Resina Meçani’s visit to Frankfurt, we are officially launching the cooperation project for 2023/24 between Gallery70 and the artist-run initiative Tirana Ekspres in Albania, in collaboration with EULENGASSE. The project will take place in both Frankfurt and Tirana, featuring a series of planned events and exhibitions.
